The Challenge
Transform is the UK’s longest established cosmetic surgery provider. They initially required a competitive single supplier to co-ordinate printing services and implement cost savings for their many clinics/offices located throughout the UK. Transforms branding requirements were diverse resulting in the company needing a supplier who was comfortable dealing with both small and large format print in high and low volumes and other types of brand applications, this is where experienced members of the Your Creative Sauce Customers Services and artwork teams came in. As each ever successful project went by, Transform and its many offices/clinics would ask for more and more varied production and fulfilment requirements, resulting in a very strong partnership developing between the two businesses. Our consultants providing guidance and recommendation of substrates and production methods combined with experience production methods providing quality and consistency of production.
Our Solution
After a successful tender winning process, members of our teams began working on streamlining and making Transform’s print ordering more efficient. They presented a print audit to their marketing and central procurement teams, showcasing areas where print could be consolidated and techniques could be improved to bring down costs.
Being a single supplier to all Transform’s office and clinics allowed our teams to take advantage of running multiple office/clinic locations business stationery and operational documents on the same printing press at the same time, reducing both the unit price and delivery time for such items. They also standardised their brand’s colour swatches and paper stocks, ensuring all items were consistent and matched each other every time. This was showcased when advising them to move business card printing onto digital presses rather than lithographic. We carefully guided the client through the pros and cons between the two printing techniques, eventually delivering large cost savings and a quicker service.
All of this was packaged into an online print ordering system and presented to each office/clinic. Each had a set of users that could order and set items such as business cards online. Once finished, orders are sent to a predesignated approval manager either in marketing or procurement so that brand and cost could be signed off prior to production. All items created for each office/clinic are automatically added to the system daily so that the client can control and quickly reorder when needed.
Over time with the success and reliability of our teams brand control and printing services they began to work even closer with Transform’s marketing team. They began to supply artwork and typesetting services. They became brand custodians working on everything the brand touched.
